Hackaday: A Hub for Electronics Enthusiasts
Are you an electronics enthusiast familiar with Hackaday? This vibrant community is a place where hardware and software projects are shared, covering areas like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Home Automation, Robotics, and more.
Hacking, as defined on the website, is an art that involves using something in a way it wasn’t originally intended. This creative pursuit, often technical and clever, emphasizes building and fixing things rather than buying new. The welcoming environment at Hackaday has motivated numerous electronics enthusiasts.
In 2014, Hackaday introduced the annual Hackaday Prize, which rewards the winner of an open design competition with a space trip. Now, in 2018, the competition is in its fifth year.
This year’s Hackaday Prize features five themes:
- Open Hardware Design Challenge
- Robotics Module Challenge
- Power Harvesting Challenge
- Human-Computer Interface Challenge
- Musical Instrument Challenge
Wellcircuits clients have actively participated in the competition. To support project completion, we offer a 10% discount on PCB and assembly costs (excluding shipping and components) for contest projects that include the Wellcircuits logo on the PCBs.
